Grieve for the hair you’ve lost
Soak in the Woes of boyhood
Woe is us we’re in undertow
Yeah we’re scared these days but we’re better off
Flash a light at the moon shadow
To reflect the times & amplify the unheard
Caught in the tide
of your old man’s life
Push against the weight
Weight of the water
The value of love
goes up in a drought
So markedly
Like in Stockholm
From Archie bunk
To an Archie comic
We repeat what we
What we see
So burn your clothes
Get a new wardrobe
One less rooted in
In tradition
Show some emotion
Woe is us we’re in undertow
Yeah we’re scared these days but we’re better off
Flash a light at the moon shadow
To reflect the times & amplify the unheard
Show some emotion, you’ve been bulldozed
It’s ok to express & to decompress
Show some emotion, let yr loving flow
Learn about the tenderness you missed and let it show
Woe is us we’re in undertow
Yeah we’re scared these days but we’re better off
Flash a light at the moon shadow
To reflect the times & amplify the unheard
Show some emotion, let yr loving flow
Your mistakes don’t make the story end
I put this record into the same category as Sly's "Theres A Riot..." and D'angelo's "Voodoo". By that I mean it is groovy and dense with a lot going on underneath. It begs for attentive listening, but it is super mellow and calm. veenstar
