Decaying time in a waiting room,
Reading of those above,
Green envious pools surround,
The walls that I’m afraid of are closing in,
Yeah I’m waterlogged
And I’m starting to get old
And I’ve made my bed
It ain’t comfortable
But I’m delusional enough
To think that I can carry it home
Starting to lose my faith
Time is slipping away
I got something to say
But I’ve got to get it made
And it’s not impossible
Just need someone to carry me home
Envious acids corrode compact discs
Looped phrases fill chill out playlists
Problematic parrots fight for straws
Cryogenically frozen culture thaws
Yeah I’m an animal
And I’m valuable
But it’s been not enough
To get out of the rough
And it feels impossible
But i know that I can carry it home
Yeah I should be counting
All my blessings
I’ve been Privileged
But I’m always wanting more
And I’m delusional enough
To think that I can carry it home

I put this record into the same category as Sly's "Theres A Riot..." and D'angelo's "Voodoo". By that I mean it is groovy and dense with a lot going on underneath. It begs for attentive listening, but it is super mellow and calm. veenstar
